 advertisement- Politician For Sale
Are you tired of politicians serving themselves and their large
contributors? Now you can buy a politician. That's right. I can be
bought. And I can be bought for 100 dollars or less. 100 dollars
is the maximum contribution accepted by the Hundred Dollar
Party. This ensures that every contributor will receive equal
influence in the party, creating a party that represents the inter-
ests of average citizens. Large contributors have two parties that
represent their interests. If average citizens want a party to repre-
sent their interests they can't expect someone else to pay for it.
Before dismissing the possibility of a political party financed
with 100 dollar contributions, consider the following numbers.
In the 2004 election, the Democrats and Republicans combined
raised just under 1.1 billion dollars, including primaries. 120
million people voted in 2004. 10% of 120 million is 12 million
people. Multiply 12 million by 100 dollars. Whether contributed
to third parties or used to influence the CURRENT major parties,
this amount of money would have a significant impact.
